That's great news that your derm says you are doing better. I bet that is a relief.

The topical steriod is the same base as the OLUX foam that I was prescribed 0.05 clobetasol propionate. I used this for four days, but became afraid of it's strength and have finished two weeks on Luxiq (betamethazone), which isn't as strong and I have to say that has helped my inflammation too. I have now finished my treatment and hope it lasts.

I was told though and have read that it is not good to be on these topical steriods for too long as it can thin the scalp.

Did you see on the scalp pain forum the post by a "doctor" saying that monocycline cures AGA. He gave some helpful tips to scalp pain. I am on monoclycline, but only have been for two months for my Rosacea. His post made me think about is it the monocylcine that is helping my hair or the Proscar? Well, time will tell since I will not be on them indefinitely. I think I only have a month left. What is your antibiotic?

Also, I am thinking of taking Probotica, which can protect your body from losing the good bacteria along with the bad with use of long-term antibiotics. Actually, Sidney just mentioned it to me and Dawn told me about something like that a while back when I was on Doxycycline. Hey, it couldn't hurt.

There must be a better way to get your ferritin up. It is such a wonder that so many women have a tough time with their ferritin levels. I really think absorption plays the bigest part somehow. I wondered if that was addressed more so than taking massive suppliments if that would help.

I think if the Proscar works for me I will be on it indefinitely. I don't know. I haven't thought that far ahead. At 41 menopause is around the corner, so that will be another issue for me down the road.

The only studies I know are the ones done on post-menopausal women. I do know that Rushton has been using it with women these days and according to Florsene he is having success.

Well, gotta run to this cooking seminar/demonstration thingy that my friend roped me into going to tonight. I hope there are some goodies to nibble on.
