My hair loss story continues......

I don't know if anyone remembers my posting from December (?), but I had taken Accutane and several other acne treatments with the same side effect of hairloss. I had been taking liquid vitamins, using hot oil once a week, and massaging my scalp to try to get new growth. At the time of my last posting I had about 2-3 inches of regrowth. Well, it is still there and growing strong! Even my hairdresser noticed it and told me to keep doing whatever I was doing because it was really working! I have really relaxed on the massage thing, but I do it about 2-3 times a week (it just makes me feel better!). I am still taking the liquid vitamins, but I can really tell the difference if I forget for a day of two. My scalp will start to get dry, itchy and tight. My hair gets brittle and seems to snap if pulled. I am still using the hot oil once a week. I tried to use a leave in conditioner, but that just tried my hair and caused it to get brittle. I am sorry, I am babbling. To make a long story short, whatever I am doing is working. My regrowth is about 4 inches now and I am not losing more that maybe 20 hairs a day (which is normal). No handfuls of hair in the shower, no cleaning my comb evey time I run it through my hair. I am really happy, relieved, and I hope that you all have good luck as well. One year later....my hair is not falling out anymore and is growing back. No thanks to Singulair. I won't ever take that again. Donna
