Hello Everyone!

I used to come to this board often, but had never posted anything. I am an 19 year old male living in New York State, USA. I began to notice my hairloss 2 years ago around 17, then last year at 18, it was shedding like crazy. I had a receding hairline - mostly my front and front sides. It runs in the family, but i hadnt expected it to come on so early. i was in a depression for a long time about it. i tried rogaine, (which just produced flakes) and then i tried saw palmetto for several months with no results from either. I had always knew propecia was there, but was fearful of using it as the side effects and stories i had heard. it came to a point though, that i hated the way i was looking more and more, and i decided to try propecia 6 months ago. I went to my doc, and she prescirbed it (recluctantly - cause i was only 18 at the time) Just like most of the articles ive read, after about 3 months, i noticed my hair stopped falling out. i remember TONS would fall out everyday, everywhere - in the shower, sink, pillow etc.... then one day i just relized it had stopped. i couldnt belive it...the propecia actaully DID work. Its been six months now and i have no hair loss anymore. New hairs are starting to grow as well. I doubted propecia, but now i am happy. i like my hair and am just wiaiting till another medicine comes along that is safer and can regrow even better. Just to tell anyone out there thats thinking about using it, i wanted u tot here my story, espeically those younger people 18-25. Side effects were very small, and to be honest, when i first started taking it i actaully had an Incresaed sexual drive, but no bad side effects ever. The only thing im currently worried about is A) the price and B) long term things - such as having children (im only 19) and its effectiveness. Well hopefully something superior will come along, but for now, i am happy and it has been succesful. I would recommened this product to anyone thinking of using it. Just wait at least 6 months to see reuslts
