No problem.
My hairloss is odd. I literally was in 8th grade when I noticed my hairline was becoming V-shaped, like my father's. He has had slow, gradual loss. For a time I looked like I wouldn't lose as much, then *BAM* at 29 I lost about half my hair in about 6 moths. I was under a ton of stress from work, and though I was showing signs of loss for a couple of years, it went into overdrive. I have a severe "v"-shape along with now thinning in the "v".
I started Propecia when it went on the market in 98; I was ignorant of finasteride, and thought it was some kind of scam. Partly out of plain denial I didn't start till Propecia came out. Very effective for about 18 months or so, then I lost a fair amount by the end of the 2nd year, then each year thereafter more loss on lower but steady basis. I literally found these forums wondering what the hell was wrong with the Propecia that it was losing effectiveness. Now, well into the fourth year I have far less hair in front mainly with more maintained towards the crown than at the highpoing of 18 months on the medicine. Given the uncertainties about ever seeing HM come to market I decided to risk the use of oral minoxidil, or Loniten. Rogaine was for a me a huge problem with my hair, since I have fine hair. The oral was a much better solution. BTW, I grew a LOT back on Propecia to start, and the results are better the closer to the crown. I am hoping the Loniten will offset the gradual loss from the Propecia for awhile anyways.
As for a stylist, I was so embarrased to go to a salon or barber with all the mirrors and people I just asked my mother to do it. She's not bad, I have to say, and is extra careful to cut it the way I want. Someone you trust is best.
Good luck!
