I had a major reduction in libido about 6 months BEFORE I started taking propecia. If I had started propecia at that time I would have probably blamed the drug for my problem. My only sexual side effect was a reduction in ejaculate volume that lasted about 4 months. This problem has not completely abated, however, after using the drug for 5 1/2 months but is much improved. Also, my hair has only now stopped the shedding phase. At this point only minimal hair re-growth has been observed.
