Repost. Reality of hairloss that we need to convey

It's bigger than that WBBSG. It's lying about how hairloss damages our social, mating,and industrial lives that keeps secret the awful truth about the damage hairloss does. When bald people say things like:

"I want hair for me, but the loss of my hair does not really reduce what I get out of life. If I weren't depressed about my hairloss I would be just fine."

They keep the medical community from learning the truth. And when bald people say,

"I don't need hair to get a woman or to be part of the social scene or to prevent job discrimination I only need hair to be happy about the way I look"

They make our complaint over hairloss seem trivial - as though there's no real reason for us to need our hair. You see, why should the medical community take our complaint seriously if our hairloss is not really costing us anything and we do not really have a valid reasonable reason for being sad about our hairloss? Our hairloss is only important if losing our hair is causing real and bad things to happen in our lives. If we can't pair off and have husbands/wives that is serious, and I mean very serious. Our constitution even gives us the right to procreate because it's well understood that humans have an intrinsic and powerful drive to mate and socialize. But we can expect no empathy if we run around saying things like, "Hairloss does not interfere with my ability to get women. I can get all the women I want despite my hairloss. I only want hair because I like the way I look with hair." When we say things like this we tell the medical community that we are fine with getting women and only our own psychological problems over hairloss keep us from getting mates and having nice lives.

Think on this WBBSG: If some bald guy were telling you that he could get all the women he wants and his hairloss is not really damaging his social, mating, or industrial life what he is telling you is that hairloss is not damagine his life he just want his hair for some minor reason. If OTOH his hairloss is damaging his social, mating, or industrial lives then that is important. Think how it sounds to others if we say, "The loss of my hair is not going to damage my ability to get women, it is not going to damage my ability to get promotions on the job and it is not going to damage my social status." When we say this crap it sounds to others like we are saying that hairloss does not damage any important part of our lives and we are just a bunch of weak vain people who want hair so we can be pretty for ourselves.

When people commit suicide over their hairloss they are not thinking about saving other bald people. As a matter of fact, they are kind of bitter and mad at the world and they don't care to help the people that get to go on living. They may actually be even a little glad that the world does not know the truth about the serious social, mating,and industrial harm of hairloss for if the world knew then hairloss might be cured after they die and they may want the suffering of baldness to go on for others inasmuch as they didn't get their hair back and nobody felt sorry for them. If I were about to commit suicide over my hairloss I would not be thinking "I must make it known that I'm commiting suicide over my hairloss so the medical communitty will know the seriousness of hairloss and save other bald people." I would be angry and bitter and I would not want it publicly known that I was losing all throughout my last years of life. If you were about to commit suicide over hairloss would you publicly state that you were losing, losing, losing all the last years of your life because you were bald? Of course you wouldn't. Why should you make yourself look like a loser so you can help other people get their hair back?
