You are absolutely right in what you say. But remember, society doesn't listen to bald people even when they tell the truth, because the truth is am indictment of THEIR OWN BEHAVIOR toward bald people.

So, what we really need is a first rate statistical study that measures the effect of baldness on the follwing:

(1) average wages (as a measure of job discrimination)

(2) Incidences of major diseases

(3) Life expectancy

(4) Mental Health problems, in particular depression

Notice that these are the same things that people study when they want to prove discrimination against any group (e.g. African Americans). We need HARD DATA, because if the only thing society has to go on is what we oursevles say, they will just go on ignoring our plight.

Given that bald people every day of their lives face ridicule, discrimination, rejection, sexual frustration, and isolation (compounded by the fact that nobody takes our problem seriously) it is an absolute certainty that if such a statistical study were done it would not paint a pretty picture of how bald people are really treated. And remember, we have to focus on how we are treated by others, because if we don't, society will just go on blaming us by saying things like "you have poor coping skills" or "you have low self esteem" or "you have emotional problems". In other words, they will just go on blaming the victims.
