New cut in....help!

Hi all. I just had my cut in a few days ago and am having some real problems. A few hours after the cut in I noticed the front lace was very visible and obvious, to the point that anyone even glancing at my hairline would have seen it. I didnt feel like messing with it so I tried to go to sleep and it was very uncomfortable trying to sleep with the system on, I have read from previous posts that some of you cannot even feel it being there, well I definitely could, so I ended up removing the system and thats where I stand now.

I am going to give this one more chance before I shave the rest of my hair and just go natural but I want to make sure I am doing this right before I try again so I hope I can get a few questions answered.

First off, I was under the impression there are 2 different attachment methods, tape or glue, is this right? I thought that until the system they put on me had both the tape and glue, is it possible to use just the tape?

Has anyone else had the problem with the front lace showing? What is the best way to correct this problem.

I tried cleaning the system with the ez-off but ended up making a big mess and got a lot of it in the hair, so I am going to have to wash the hair, is it better to wash it while its attached or off? I'm afraid to do anything with it for fear I will ruin it and I'm sure it sitting there with the ez-off in the hair now probably is not good.

And lastly, I heard that they have a gun at home depot, does anyone know the name of it?

Sorry for all the questions here, they did explain a lot during the cut in but I forgot a lot and the instruction sheet is not much help.
