Tablets are made by combining all of the ingredients(drug, fillers, binders) and creating a mixture. This mixture is then pressed into tablet form. By "mixture" I mean homogeneous mixture - one part of the mixture is NO DIFFERENT than any other part - it is just silly to think otherwise - it is MUCH easier to control the quality and consistency of the product by starting with a homogeneous mixture.
