Maybe so, Kevlar. I haven't checked to see if there are any studies on what happens to topically applied insulin...maybe there's some local absorption, but not enough systemic to help with a problem like diabetes. However, if there isn't any local effect, it would be a worthless ingredient in FNS. As for a "non-steroidal anabolic hormone", I can't think of anything other than insulin which would fit that bill and still be able to be placed in the FNS formula without worry about dispensing a prescription medication.
