I too have a very bad case of scalp irritation as a result of topical minox......you may want to double check that you are losing hair because of shedding as a result of loniten and not because of scalp irritation as a result of topical minox.
It may help to use topical minox once daily or eventually switch to 2% rogaine once daily.....instead of discontinuing the treatment completely
topical minox can be deadly if your scalp has become sensitive to the treatment - just from my experience of course.

I was losing a lot of hair already when I started the regimen, so I couldn't really tell if I had shedding as a result of loniten or not.
But hair loss stopped substantially about 3-4 months into the program...and almost completely stopped about 6 months into the program.......
As for the periodic shedding some have mentioned, I noticed shedding only when I changed the dosage or when I switched Loniten supplier.....I cannot conclude shedding is definitely associated with either, but the sequence of events is accurate.......ie: I changed dosage and loniten supplier and shedding started soon afterwards.
This is the only program that ever works for me....
At one point i used emu based minox with Waseda's GSE, but then scalp irritation came back immediately with massive shedding.....so I stopped the topical after approx 2 months
I think with your regimen, you should start seeing fine hair on your body and face before you see any regrowth on your scalp. Most noticeable would be peach fuzz on your arms, shoulders and face before anything happens. I think if you do see these signs, this is an indication that you respond to the treatment, and you should stick to it.
