OK this is my experience. I've been using finasteride at 1mg every other day for 3 months. Side effects: breast swelling, slight gyno developing - dropped finasteride. Then I've read all the stories about arimidex and wanted to try the combo: finasteride+arimidex (to cut DHT and estradiol). Well, the gyno started again (itching,swelling,enlargement) - I've asked here and there why could it happen since I've cut all estradiol with arimidex (at 0.5mg/day) - the reason is not the high estrogen levels, but low dht - you can say that DHT keeps estrogen "away" from the breast tissue :) so I've decided to try Dermovan+Topical Finasteride combo (40 ml dermo+ 30mg finasteride). I can notice systemic absorption (again breast itching) but it is not as bad as with oral route.
