That's right..."A LIFE SENTENCE"! We have to come to these forums to release our frustrations because no one who is experiencing hairloss will understand or sympathize with our condition. To them it's no big deal because it's only hair. Yeah it's hair alright! Our hair...Not theirs! What really pisses me off is their hypocrisy! They laugh at our concern for a cure. They keep saying, "but it's only hair". But look at how we are treated because we are bald. Women will never give us a second look, it's the first thing perspective employers notice at a job interview, it makes us look older than we really are, and we are always depicted as criminals and losers on television and movies--but that's okay because as you said, it's only hair and we're whiners. I don't mean to sound unsympathetic to your condition or those of your peers. Everyone knows someone who has been affected by cancer. I hate the kind of hell these people have gone through because of it just as I hate the bull... that I have to go through everyday of being bald but I don't call people whiners because of it. In fact, I worked with a woman who had lost her hair to chemotherapy treatments as a result of being diagnosed with cancer. She wore a wig during treatments and actually pointed to me in front of everyone at work while laughing and said "at least my hair will grow back"! Given her circumstances, I just smiled back. If these forums offend you because you think we are whining, then don't read them! I can't walk in your shoes and you can't walk in mine. >>
When i read posts like this i have to agree with
the ones who say that for some guys hair loss is
a mental problem.
