My Dad passed away at 62, 10 months earlier we found out that he had cancer. It was awful to watch such a strong man get whittled down by cancer. Luckily, his mental and spiritual strength remained strong to the end. My dad never gave up! During chemotherapy he lost his hair, it was sad but at least he was still alive for a while. Glaxo is currently testing a drug to prevent chemotherapy induced hairloss. It's to bad the drug was not on the market 5 years ago when he needed it. My dad realized that we are all terminal, it's just a question of when we die. For me, it's the quality of life, that's important to me, not the quantity of time I'm alive. I require a full head of hair for a quality life. However, I realize that life wasn't perfect before hairloss and my life won't be perfect with a full head of hair. However, at least it will be one less thing that I'll be worrying about. One less thing that's holding me back. If I never had hairloss, I would be more confident, more successful in my career, and more successful with girls. Hairloss has really screwed up my life! I would rather be dead than bald! As for my dad, he was just happy to be alive, in some ways he was better than me. My family and I were just glad to have my dad around for a few months longer, of course, even when he went bald, it didn't matter to us. He was a blessing and a privalege to have around.
