I am not aware there is a special emu oil for hair. From what i know, majority of pure emu oil products are intended for skin, but hair fanatics like us decided to try pure emu oil for hair.

From my experience: I used to apply emu oil before bed and then shampoo in the morning. A little (several drops) goes a long way. Don't go overboard or your scalp and hair will be soaking in grease the next morning.

Emu oil does mix well with some other products for hair loss. For example, I mixed emu oil with rogaine and GSE, pic and details can be found at

However, I am not sure if emu oil mixes well with ZO.
