I do think that Finasteride very gradually loses its effectiveness. But there is no evidence yet from any of the trials that patients ever return to lower than baseline hair count figures, even after 4-5 years. So to say that you will gradually continue to lose it is inaccurate. In the majority it should keep what you have now and maybe improve a little. Dutasteride should further improve on that.
