From: Bryan to "To You"

Common Sense: "We can all tell you from our experience that minoxadil doesn't hold a candle to RU in treating baldness in Macaques..."
To YOU: "WRONG. 5% minoxidil is just as effective as RU58841 in Macaques. Here is the study that proves this, which I KNOW you haven't read (cause you wouldn't have made that statement if you had!!)"
"The Effect of topical RU58841 (androgen receptor blocker) combined with minoxidil on hair growth in macaque androgenetic alopecia." Hair Research for the Next Millenium, 1996, D.J.J. Van Neste and V.A. Randall (Editors).
Bryan: "Hey, I didn't even know it had been published in Hair Research for the Next Millenium! I'll look for it there, and hopefully I'll be able to read the whole thing! Previously, I had only read the abstract in the Journal of Investigative Dermatology 110:679, 1998."
Oops! I just checked "Hair Research for the Next Millenium" again this afternoon, and that article isn't in there. What IS in there is another, earlier study by Uno et al having to do with RU58841 and stumptailed macaques, but not the later one where he combined it with minoxidil. The only location of that later study is in the citation I provided above, and unfortunately, it's only the abstract.
