I believe it would only be approved for being safe, not for re-growth. It is not yet able to claim hair re-growth anywhere from what I understand. If they could, I think it would be on their web site www.hairmax.com. It is approved by the FDA as safe and for cosmetic use which means it improves hair quality. But, the FDA trial for re-growth won't be done until later this year. There is also a forum on their site if you want to read more information from people who use it.
