You made the right decision by NOT going to Bosley or MHR!!!

However, I always recommend that guys should think twice about using a hair transplant to do little "touch-ups" to the hairline and temples. It's overkill. A hair transplant is for guys who are seriously balding, so to use it for a "touch up" is an extreme reaction to a problem that is not that desperate yet. Most people say a guy should be AT LEAST a Norwood 3, before even thinking about a hair transplant. This guy doesn't seem like he is bald enough to go the surgical route right now.

He should call Dr. Epstein and ask if he can postpone his surgery, while he thinks about it. That way, he hasn't lost his deposit completely.

Also, to the guy who wrote the original email, please visit the IAHRS website I just gave you, and write them an email and describe your situation to them. Tell them you are a Norwood 2 to 3, and ask them if you should get a transplant from Dr. Epstein. I have a feeling they will also feel it is too early, and wonder why Dr. Epstein is accepting your money in the first place.

Also, you should be using Propecia, to keep what remaining hair you still have. Propecia works, it is not so great at regrowing hair, but it is excellent at "saving" it. If you could maintain what you have, I would just try to be satisfied with that, for now. If you aren't already using Propecia, get on it as soon as possible, by getting a prescription from your family doctor or a dermatologist. Whether you decide to get a hair transplant or not, you still need to prevent further hair loss with Propecia.
