Sorry, I just readed your answers to my posting in the last forum which got closed.
You made two interesting statements: "The half-life doesn't have anything to do with it. The point is that 2.5 mg every other day is exactly the same as 1.25 mg every day. I think it's probably easier to remember to take something EVERY day than it is to take something EVERY OTHER day. (...) For example: taking 3.5 mg once a week will be as effective as taking 0.5 mg every day."
However, why are you sure that both methods will have the SAME effect for your hair?
Why won`t the higher dosages inhibit MORE DHT than the LOWER dosages, just because of the one day break, but thanks to the extreme long half-time - not just a few hours like proscar - this one day break should be no problem.
I want to inhibit as much SCALP DHT as possible, and with 0,5 mg I`ll only be able to inhibit approx. 55% (or 60?), this is FAR (!) too low, we know that 2,5 mg will be able to inhibit around 82%.
Perhaps I`ll even take 2,5 mg a day, if necessary, if this can 100% stop my receding hairline, I wouldn`t care if it costs me $ 200 a month.
