You still don't get it! I never said that castration is more effective at eliminating DHT than dutasteride. It's clear that dutasteride reduces it more. What I said is that castration and dutasteride are probably rather similar in their ability to reduce the TOTAL androgenic load. That comes about from reducing *both* DHT and testosterone in the case of castration.

Sorry, but you're wrong. Haven't you bothered to actually READ the "frontal" studies for both topical minoxidil and finasteride?? Topical minoxidil appears to be much more effective than finasteride at the front, too, according to the available research.

The Rogaine "frontal" study had an average hair-count increase of 34% after 1 year. The Propecia "frontal" study had an average increase of only 4.5% after 1 year. It's really hard to defend your claim, given those figures!

See my reply to you on the previous forum: you and I are pretty much in agreement over dutasteride as far as its effects on regrowth are concerned, although we disagree on other things...calibus is the odd-man-out.
