As sad as it is, I have to agree here. Finasteride's regrowth properties are not very impressive cosmetically, though obviously the drug does work. Results take a long time, and you're told you have to take the drug everyday FOREVER. But hey pal, you MAINTAIN!
Granted, more than likely a new treatment will come along, but an average guy doesn't know that.
Now, take a drug like Accutane. That shit works, and it works fast. It's way more dangerous than Finasteride. It's expensive as hell. But it's a top seller for Roche. Why? It works. Fast and furiously. Your nose bleeds every 3 hours, you can't see shit at night, you peel like a snake. But you take it anyway because you see the acne literally dropping off your face.
You only need to take it for a few months and you're done with acne for years in most cases. In some cases, forever.
Now, if we could get a hair loss drug to work like that, we'd be set. That shit would sell. I'd risk a lot of side effects to get my hair back, as sad as it is, just like I did on Accutane.
