First of all, people need to have their expectations straight. I don't care what one doctor's supposed results were, the expectation of a large percentage of men going from high digit Norwoods to low digit Norwoods on either .5 or 2.5 is unrealistic based on the hair counts of the studies. The expectations of .5 dosaging should be that of very probable halting of further hair loss, probable half to 1 full Norwood rating regrowth with only a small possiblity of much more significant regrowth or failing to halt further hair loss. If you're a very high Norwood rating you should just view Avodart as a hedge against backtracking following a quality hair transplant procedure. With what some people are proposing here as far as extra money spent on Avodart dosaging, they could be solidly along the way to saving up for or paying off the loan on a major hair transplant in a year's time. As I see it, cheaper versions per mg. aren't that far off, and the only reason why most men should need to concern themselves with higher daily dosages given the half-life would be the consideration of synthetic anabolic hormone usage (OTC pro-steroids or actual BM steroids). And I still believe people should continue taking their other regimen products (including Propecia) while Avodart has a chance to build up in their systems. My opinions.
